About 1886

1886 is the founder of the blog and an avid Londoner. Enjoys reminding Liverpool, United and Spurs fans of their recent success. Considers Arsene Wenger a family member. Would like a piggy-back from Per Mertesacker.

1886 is a hugely significant number in the history of Arsenal Football Club. In 1886, workers employed at the Dial Square workshop at the local armament factory played their first game as Dial Square against Eastern Wanderers winning 6-0. Dial Square would soon be renamed ‘Royal Arsenal’. The rest is history.
